Some dogs won't get out of the car when they know the dryer is on. We've built the whole visit around not being that place. Gentle handling, no rushing, and we stop when a dog needs us to stop.
THE MATTED ONE
Mud, burrs, seeds, a coat that hasn't been touched in months. We've taken dogs like this on short notice and sent them home looking ready for a show ring.
THE OLD ONE
Fifteen years old and difficult to groom their whole life. Senior dogs get the time they need, not the time the schedule wants.

A head-to-tail transformation. Warm bath, blow dry, hair trimming or styling to breed standard or your preference, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and finishing touches like cologne and bows. Every session is personalised to your dog's coat type, comfort level and personality.

I've been going to this dog salon for over 10 years with my two pitbulls, Jason 16yo and Layla 2yo. They absolutely love it here. My older dog gets so excited as soon as he realizes it's the day to go, he's already waiting by the door and can't contain his excitement during the car ride.
I dont usually leave reviews but Arthur is a special type of guy, he goes above and beyond to make sure your taken care of and your pets feel right at home. Probably the most polite and kind person I've ever dealt with, and hes always in a good mood / treats your animals as he would his own!
Millie was a muddy, messy doodle. She loves to run free in fields, swim in mud puddles, roll in the snow, thorns, sticky burrs, seeds, you name it, it was hidden in her coat. We called 5-star and they took Millie quickly. When we picked her up from 5-Star, we weren't sure we had the right dog!! She looked ready to enter a dog show.
I've been taking my dog to 5 Star Dog Salon in Woburn, and recently switched to their brand new Stoneham location. I am consistently extremely happy with the results across both locations! They do such an amazing job, my dog always turns out looking so adorable and so clean. Their cuts are so precise, you can tell they really take their time and put a lot of care into their work.
I have been going to the Woburn location for years, and now that they opened the stoneham location closer to my house I couldn't be happier. Same great quality and the friendliest staff. My dog always leaves happy and looking clean!
Arthur and family
Five Star is family-run. Arthur has been grooming dogs in Woburn for over ten years, and the same hands opened the Stoneham salon. The groomers here are CPR-certified and professionally trained, and they have been doing this their whole lives. That is the difference between a salon and a drop-off counter.
